Analyst Matthew Ball's controversial suggestion that a $100 price tag for AAA titles could revitalize the gaming industry sparked a debate. To gauge player sentiment, a survey asked if gamers would pay $100 for a standard edition of Grand Theft Auto 6.

Surprisingly, over a third of nearly 7,000 respondents indicated willingness to pay this price for the base game, even with Ubisoft's current practice of pushing expensive expanded editions.

Ball's earlier assertion that a $100 price point could save the industry went viral, suggesting Rockstar and Take-Two could lead the charge.

Rockstar's confirmed 2025 updates for Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online aim to bring the PC version in line with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S counterparts. While details remain scarce, the update likely extends beyond simple visual enhancements.

The possibility of expanding the GTA+ subscription service to PC, currently exclusive to consoles, is high. Additionally, PC players may soon gain access to console-exclusive features like Hao's premium car modifications, known for enabling extreme vehicle speeds. The arrival of this advanced turbo-tuning on PC is highly probable.
