Recent rumors suggested the collection would omit multiplayer, a claim Corden verified. While competitive online play won't be included, cooperative gameplay and the main story campaigns will remain.

The official announcement for this Gears of War collection might arrive as soon as the upcoming Xbox Showcase in June, according to industry sources. While details are limited, the collection is speculated to include the first three Gears of War games.

Separately, development on Gears of War: E-Day, the next major installment, continues using Unreal Engine 5 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Leaks point to a potential release this year, but Corden believes a 2026 release is more likely.
