Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" quest, you'll need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. A convenient time to pick up this quest is during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes, where you can catch Gules while he's enjoying a drink. Alternatively, you can start the quest earlier by visiting Semine and speaking with Gules during his patrol duties. When you talk to him, inquire about his past with a band of bandits and express your willingness to help him eliminate them. Canker, being one of these former bandits, becomes your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Upon accepting the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, situated north of Nebakov Mill. Be prepared, as the route to this location is often patrolled by bandits who might attempt to ambush you. You can choose to evade them using stealth, engage them in combat, or simply escape. These random bandits are typically not challenging to defeat, but it's best to conserve your health for the upcoming battle.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his companions, loot his body to collect the Light Mace, which is crucial to prove your success to Gules. Feel free to take any additional items you find on him. Once you have the mace, head back to Gules to finish the quest.
