*Pokemon GO* is buzzing into March with a full lineup of seasonal events, and this year’s **Bug Out** event promises to be a thrilling celebration of all things bug-type. From increased spawns to exclusive bonuses and brand new avatar items, this event gives Trainers the perfect opportunity to dive deep into insect-themed Pokemon encounters.
The Bug Out event officially begins on March 26 at 10 AM local time and runs through to 8 PM local time on March 30. That gives players five full days to immerse themselves in catching some of the creepiest-crawliest creatures in the game. If you're a fan of Shiny hunting, this event is especially exciting — many featured Pokemon have confirmed Shiny forms.

During the event, Trainers will enjoy a suite of valuable bonuses designed to enhance gameplay and progression:
PokeStops will dispense event-specific Field Research tasks, which may reward Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and special Pokemon encounters.
In addition, completing Timed Research tasks grants a Lure Module and event Pokemon encounters. For those opting into Paid Timed Research, rewards include a Lure Module, two Premium Battle Passes, and even more event Pokemon encounters. All research must be completed before the event ends to claim your prizes.
For the first time, players can access exclusive bug-themed avatar items from the in-game shop:
Take part in specially crafted Collection Challenges featuring event Pokemon. Completing these challenges unlocks valuable rewards like Stardust, XP, and additional encounters with event-exclusive Pokemon.
