Known Habitats: Ruins of Wyveria
Breakable Parts: Head, Tail, and Legs
Recommended Elemental Attack: Water
Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (3x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (-)
Effective Items: Pitfall Trap, Shock Trap, Flash Pod

Stun the Monster

Ebony Odogaron's speed is its most formidable trait, often leaving hunters struggling to keep up. To counter this, utilize stunning tactics. Look for a nearby Flashfly to trigger and stun the monster momentarily. Alternatively, prepare Flash Pods to shoot at Ebony Odogaron, providing a window to attack without its swift retaliation.

Bring Teammates

Facing Ebony Odogaron alone can be daunting due to its relentless attacks. To ease the burden, send out SOS signals to rally teammates. If no players respond, NPCs can serve as effective distractions, drawing the monster's attention away from you, allowing you to dodge and strike at opportune moments.

Pull Down Entangled Rocks

During the battle, you'll encounter areas with Entangled Rocks overhead. Use your slinger to bring these down, stunning Ebony Odogaron for a few crucial seconds. This tactic is a one-time use per fight, but you can further immobilize the creature with Pitfall and Shock Traps for additional opportunities to attack.

Beware of Dragonblight

Ebony Odogaron can inflict Dragonblight, which hampers your ability to apply elemental or status effects. To mitigate this, carry Nulberries to cleanse the status effect, or equip decorations with Level 3 Dragon Resistance or Blight Resistance to prevent it altogether.

Inflict Paralysis

Paralysis is a game-changer against Ebony Odogaron, immobilizing it and giving you time to deal significant damage. If you can knock the monster down while it's over roots, it may become further entangled, extending your window of attack.

Aim for the Head

The head is Ebony Odogaron's most vulnerable spot, boasting a 3-star weakness. Targeting it yields the highest damage output, though it places you in the monster's direct line of sight. For safer alternatives, aim for its forelegs or tail, which may not deal as much damage but can lead to breaking its limbs.
