Feeling frustrated with how your character plays in *Avowed*? We've all been there—starting with a class and attribute setup that just doesn't click as you hoped. The good news is, *Avowed* offers a solution: respecing. In this article, I'll walk you through how to respec and adjust your stats in *Avowed*, ensuring you can tailor your gameplay to your evolving preferences.
When you embark on your journey in Avowed, it's tough to predict the playstyle you'll enjoy most. That's where respecing becomes a game-changer. If you find yourself not vibing with your current setup—perhaps you started as a full-on wizard but kept getting knocked down—respecing lets you pivot. In my case, I switched from a pure mage to a spellsword, enhancing my combat versatility. As you progress, respecing can also help you fine-tune your character to create that dream build, maximizing your effectiveness in battle.
To respec in Avowed, dive into the menu and head to the “Abilities” section. At the bottom, you'll spot the “Reset Points” option. Initially, it'll cost you 100 Copper Skeyt, though this price can increase as you advance. Just hit the button, confirm, and pay the displayed amount. This action will strip all your ability points from the skill trees, except the “Godlike” abilities, which are locked and earned through in-game decisions.
If you're content with your abilities but feel your attributes need a tweak, or if you're aiming for a full overhaul, respecing your attributes is straightforward. Navigate to the “Character” section in the menu. Look for the button at the bottom, just below the attribute names, along with the cost, which starts at 100 Copper Skeyt and can increase. Click the button, pay up, and reclaim your Attribute points to redistribute as you see fit.
Want to respec your companion in Avowed? Access the menu, go to the Abilities section, and switch to the “Companions” tab. Below your companion's name, there's an icon indicating you can reset their abilities by spending Copper Skeyt. Click it, confirm, and watch as all their points are refunded. Remember, each companion needs to be respecced individually.
And that's how you can respec in Avowed. Enjoy customizing your gameplay to match your evolving playstyle!
