Wuthering Waves version 2.0's Rinascita region introduces challenging new Tacet Discords, including the formidable Lifer – a uniquely buffed Chop Chop residing in Oakheart Highcourt's maze. This guide details how to overcome this challenging encounter.
The Lifer awaits in Oakheart Highcourt's maze center, beneath a giant tree. An accessible entrance is located southwest, near the Resonance Beacon. Players can climb the walls or utilize the Flight function to reach it.
Inside, you'll find the Lifer beside a six-piece board game. The goal: connect three of your black pieces before the Lifer connects its white ones. Positioning a black piece on the outer circle opens maze walls and gates in that direction. You can exit and resume the game at any time, preserving piece positions. While not mandatory for the fight, the board game is crucial for debuffing the Lifer. Avoid winning before removing buffs, as the Lifer will immediately attack.
The Lifer possesses seven buffs; four are removable using the Stake of Imbalance, while three are permanent. Examine the buffs via the glowing yellow module behind the Lifer.
Removable Buffs (using Stake of Imbalance):
Permanent Buffs:
To find the Stakes of Imbalance, use the Sensor near the Lifer to reveal four purple lines leading to outer maze rooms. Manipulate the board game to open the gates, then proceed to each room (defeating Tacet Discords or breaking Friable Rocks as needed). Each Stake (marked by a white glow) removes a corresponding buff when placed in the module near the room's winged statue. A yellow line indicates a removed buff.
After removing all four removable buffs, engage the Lifer (either via the board game or by selecting "Fight it out!"). The debuffed Lifer poses minimal threat. Victory yields Premium and Basic/Standard/Advanced Supply Chests (rewards vary based on the number of victories). You can re-enable buffs for a greater challenge, though no achievements are tied to this.
Complete these challenges for additional rewards:
For board game struggles, focus on blocking the Lifer's moves; it will eventually make a mistake.
