After the success of Surging Sparks and Prismatic Evolutions, we were all set for Journey Together to continue the momentum. Unfortunately, the set stumbled right out of the gate with inflated prices, and now, after the market has had a chance to adjust, we're seeing a significant correction.

3$98.50 save 40%$58.61 at TCG PlayerJourney Together is still a solid set, featuring great art, fun pulls, and some nostalgic hits. However, the initial hype that drove up the prices of many singles couldn't be sustained. Collectors were hoping for another rapid value increase, but that didn't materialize. If you're looking to buy now, you're catching cards on their downward trend rather than riding them up.
It's important to go into this knowing which cards are worth grabbing and which are still riding the wave of their launch-day excitement.
Articuno started strong with prices reaching $55 in late March, which was justified at the time given its status as a fan-favorite Legendary with stunning artwork. It has since dropped by 36% to around $35, which still feels a bit high. Near-mint listings are available at $18.69, which seems more appropriate. If you're after a visually appealing card without the early adopter premium, Articuno is a good pick.

5$19.99 save 77%$4.54 at TCG PlayerWailord, another early hype Illustration Rare, saw a quick price surge, primarily due to its appeal as an oversized water type. It reached $60 at the end of March but has since dropped by 63.66% to a market value of about $22.49, with listings as low as $14.55. I believe Wailord might see a slight recovery to $30 once the initial panic sells out and fans come back around.
My top pick among the Illustration Rares is N's Reshiram. The artwork is exceptional, and the character pairing enhances the card's value. It started at $39.43, which was reasonable given the launch demand. Now, it's around $17.44, and even the Journey Together stamped variant, which you'd expect to hold more value, is priced at about $14. This represents a 79.51% drop, making it an incredible deal for a chase card.
IGN Photo Composite / The Pokémon CompanyLillie’s Clefairy ex SIR was initially touted as the set's flagship card, reaching prices of $400. That was quite the leap, and while it's now around $180, it still feels overpriced. I predict it'll settle at about $150, which is more in line with what collectors are willing to pay. It's a beautiful card, but the price needs to reflect its actual market value.

1$9.54 save 13%$8.32 at TCG PlayerI had high hopes for Iono’s Bellibolt ex SIR to be the standout card of the set. It has the rarity, character, and a unique design that could have made it a fan favorite. Currently, it's hovering around $80, which is stable but not spectacular. If you like it, it's worth picking up, but don't expect it to skyrocket in value.
Salamence ex SIR exemplifies the early pricing issues of Journey Together. At launch, it reached $250, but now it's around $106 and likely to settle at $100. It's still pricey, but at least it's now valued as a high-tier chase card rather than an investment. The art is strong, and Salamence's enduring popularity should help it maintain its value.
Iono’s Bellibolt ex is my favorite full art, mainly because of its striking design. It launched at around $80 but has settled in the $7–$8 range. If you paid more than $15, you might feel the sting, but it's still a great-looking card. It's likely to stay at this price point now that the initial hype has faded. Just don't expect it to become the next big thing in the Supporter category.

0$1.87 save 47%$1.00 at TCG PlayerLillie’s Clefairy ex had an unusual start, with prices soaring past $110 before the set even launched. It's now found its place at $17–$19, which is more reasonable. If you're a fan of Lillie or Clefairy, it's a great pickup at this price.
N’s Zoroark ex began at around $30 but has since dropped to about $12, which feels fair. The card's design is excellent, and its connection to N adds to its appeal.
When I mention that Journey Together prices are crashing, this is precisely what I'm referring to. Those "can't-miss deals" I highlighted at launch weren't because the cards were undervalued—they were on the brink of a significant drop.
