Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics
At the end of each season, your competitive rank is demoted by seven tiers. For example, ending a season at Diamond I will result in a starting rank of Gold II in the next season. Players who finish in Bronze III will remain at Bronze III.
Rank Reset Timing
The rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. Season 1's start date (January 10th, at the time of writing) indicates the approximate reset timing for future seasons.
All Competitive Ranks
Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Progression through ranks is based on accumulating 100 points per tier. The ranks are:
Even after reaching Grandmaster I, players can continue earning points to reach Eternity and One Above All.
Season Length
While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are expected to last approximately three months. New seasons introduce fresh content, including new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps. The extended season length allows for more time to climb the ranks.
