NetEase Games has unveiled exciting details for Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, titled "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This season introduces Dracula as the primary antagonist and welcomes the Fantastic Four to the roster. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman arrive at launch, with Human Torch and The Thing joining the fray six to seven weeks later.

The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers 10 skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Three new maps and a fresh game mode, "Doom Match," are also part of the update.

Significant balance adjustments are planned. Hela and Hawkeye, previously dominant, will receive nerfs to curb their power. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom will receive buffs to enhance their effectiveness. Other balance tweaks include buffs for Wolverine and Storm, aiming to make them more strategically viable. Cloak and Dagger will also see improvements to promote greater team composition versatility. Finally, adjustments are coming to Jeff the Land Shark to better align his warning indicators with his ultimate's hitbox. While no major changes to his ultimate ability are announced, player feedback regarding its power level is being considered.
