Netflix Cancels 'Electric State' Prequel Game

Netflix is launching a retro-futuristic puzzle game, The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, to coincide with the release of its upcoming sci-fi adventure film, The Electric State. The game arrives on March 18th, just four days after the movie's Netflix debut on March 14th.

Directed by the Russo brothers and starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, the film depicts a post-apocalyptic road trip across an alternate 1990s America, featuring giant robots.

More Than Just a Movie Tie-in

The Electric State: Kid Cosmo isn't a simple adaptation; it's a prequel exploring the childhoods of key characters, Chris and Michelle, through a unique "game-within-a-game" experience. Developed by BUCK Games (creators of the popular Steam game Let's! Revolution!) in collaboration with AGBO, the game promises engaging gameplay.

Expect a WarioWare-esque series of puzzle adventures with a distinct 1980s vibe. Set in Wichita, Kansas, in 1985, the story unfolds over five years, revealing the characters' journey before the movie's events.
