Ninja Gaiden 4 Announced, Ninja Gaiden 2 Remastered Released

The event also brought exciting news with the announcement of *Ninja Gaiden 4*, the latest installment in Koei Tecmo's beloved series, slated for a fall 2025 release.

According to the debut trailer, *Ninja Gaiden 4* promises to be an exhilarating action-packed slasher with the iconic ninja Ryu Hayabusa at the helm. Fans can look forward to new gameplay mechanics, including the ability to swiftly navigate using wires and rails, a feature showcased in the trailer.

The game's setting is a cyberpunk city drenched in toxic rain, where players will battle hordes of modified soldiers and otherworldly creatures. The ultimate goal is to lift an ancient curse that plagues the megacity, adding depth to the narrative and gameplay.

In addition to *Ninja Gaiden 4*, the presentation unveiled a massive remaster of *Ninja Gaiden 2*, which has already hit the shelves for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and is included in the Game Pass catalog. Team Ninja has leveraged Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) for this remaster, completely revamping character models, visual effects, and landscapes. Moreover, they've enriched the experience by incorporating elements from newer series entries, including three additional playable characters.
