Path of Exile 2 loot filters significantly enhance gameplay, particularly in later stages when item drops increase dramatically. They declutter the screen while highlighting valuable items, streamlining the looting process. While using a controller or playing on console might seem to complicate this, PlayStation and Xbox users can utilize item filters just as effectively as PC players. This guide clarifies the process.

How to Link Path of Exile 2 and Console Accounts

To use loot filters on consoles, you must first link your console account to your Path of Exile account through the Path of Exile 1 website. Follow these steps:

1. Access the Path of Exile website and log in.
2. Locate your account name in the upper-left corner and click it.
3. Select "Manage Account" from the right-hand side menu, below your profile information.
4. Under "Secondary Login," click "Connect" for either PlayStation (PS) or Xbox.

You will then be prompted to log in to your existing PlayStation or Xbox account. Complete the connection process to link your accounts.

Finding and Using Loot Filters

Once your accounts are linked, return to your profile page on the website and click the "Item Filters" button. Next, click the "Item Filter Ladder" hyperlink. This opens a new tab displaying available loot filters for Path of Exile 2.

Use the dropdown menu (located above the filter list) to select "PoE 2." Choose your preferred filter and click the "Follow" button on its page. For new players, NeverSink's semi-strict or regular filters offer a good starting point.

After following a filter, open Path of Exile 2 and navigate to the Options menu. Go to the "Game" tab. At the top, you'll find the "Item Filter" option. Select the filter you followed from the dropdown menu and click "Save." Your in-game item drops will now be differentiated by labels, colors, or sound effects, based on your chosen filter.
