Path of Exile 2's Atlas Endgame: Mastering the Delirium Encounter

Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) offers four major endgame Atlas map events: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. Delirium, a returning mechanic from previous PoE leagues, is a challenging but rewarding encounter. This guide details how to initiate Delirium events, navigate the Fog mechanic, access the Simulacrum Pinnacle map, utilize the Delirium Passive Skill Tree, and maximize your rewards.

Understanding the Delirium Fog Mechanic

On the Atlas, Delirium map nodes are marked with a distinctive white and black icon resembling the Delirium Mirror. You can guarantee a Delirium event by placing a Delirium Precursor Tablet in a Lost Tower.

Within a Delirium map, locate the multicolored, shattered-glass Delirium Mirror near your spawn. Activating it unleashes a swirling circle of Fog. This Fog expands, increasing enemy difficulty as you progress. Leaving the Fog ends the encounter, resetting the map.

Enemies within the Fog are enhanced and may drop valuable Delirium rewards: Distilled Emotions (used in crafting) and Simulacrum Splinters (for summoning the Pinnacle Boss). Fractured Mirrors, found within the Fog, trigger additional mob waves and loot. Beware of Kosis and Omniphobia, full-fledged bosses that can appear randomly during the encounter.

The Simulacrum Pinnacle Event

Each endgame event offers Pinnacle Boss summoning items. High-tier Waystones in Delirium yield Simulacrum Splinters. Accumulate 300 splinters to create a Simulacrum, which you place in the Realmgate on the Atlas.

The Simulacrum is a 15-wave challenge with escalating difficulty. Delirium bosses have an increased chance of spawning in later waves. Completing the Simulacrum grants two Delirium Passive Skill points.

Navigating the Delirium Passive Skill Tree

The Delirium Passive Skill Tree, located within the Atlas Passive Skill Tree (top-left button on the Atlas Map, then top-right), modifies Delirium events. It features eight Notable nodes and eight nodes increasing Simulacrum difficulty. Each Simulacrum completion rewards two points, necessitating increased difficulty for each new Notable node.

Notable Delirium Passive Nodes:

Prioritize "You Can't Just Wake Up From This One," "Get Out Of My Head!", and "They're Coming To Get You..." for optimal reward increases without significant drawbacks.

Delirium Rewards

Delirium Fog-affected enemies drop Distilled Emotions. Bosses also frequently drop these unique currencies, used to Anoint amulets with Notable Passive Skills. They can also add guaranteed modifiers to Waystones. Simulacrum Splinters, dropped by enemies, combine to form a Simulacrum for the Pinnacle event, rewarding Delirium Passive points and a guaranteed Unique item.
