Pokémon Go’s February 2025 Community Day event will feature Karrablast and Shelmet

Get ready for an exciting Pokémon Go Community Day featuring Karrablast and Shelmet on February 9th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time. During this event, these Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, giving you a fantastic opportunity to catch them and possibly encounter their Shiny forms. Keep an eye out for the usual event bonuses and additional research tasks that will enhance your experience.
If you manage to catch enough Karrablast and Shelmet, you can evolve them into Escavalier and Accelgor, respectively, with exclusive charged attacks. Escavalier will learn Razor Shell, which boasts a power of 35 in Trainer Battles and 55 in gyms and raids. Meanwhile, Accelgor will gain Energy Ball, delivering a powerful 90 in all battles.
For $2 or the equivalent in your local currency, you can purchase a Community Day Special Research ticket. This ticket grants you access to a Dual Destiny-themed Special Background, along with encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet. It also includes additional encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, and Rare Candy XL, enriching your Community Day experience.
Don't miss out on the free Timed Research quest available to those who log in during the event. It offers another chance to encounter the featured Pokémon and increases your chances of finding their Shiny versions. Additionally, you can take advantage of Pokémon Go codes to claim some exciting freebies!
During the three-hour event window, you'll benefit from several bonuses. Earn triple XP and double Candy for catching Pokémon, and if you're level 31 or above, enjoy an increased chance of receiving Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours, and trading will be more advantageous with one additional Special Trade and a 50% reduction in Stardust costs.
Engage with Community Day-themed Field Research for rewards like Stardust, Great Balls, and more encounters with the featured Pokémon. You may also participate in PokéStop Showcases, offering another way to get involved in the festivities.
