Key announcements included new details for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, a remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, a release date for Capcom Fighting Collection 2, and extensive information on Monster Hunter Wilds.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword – A 2026 Release

The upcoming Onimusha: Way of the Sword, slated for a 2026 release, promises compelling characters, a new protagonist, and engaging enemies. The game will be set in the Edo period of Kyoto, featuring historically accurate locations. The developers aim for "ultimate sword fighting action" with satisfying combat. The protagonist, through a twist of fate, will wield an Oni Gauntlet, fueled by the souls of defeated Genma. The difficulty will be challenging yet accessible to action fans of all skill levels.

Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny Remaster Coming in 2025

A remastered version of the 2002 classic, Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, is set for release in 2025, bridging the gap until Onimusha: Way of the Sword's launch.

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 Details

Monster Hunter Wilds' second Open Beta will introduce the flagship monster, Arkveld, in a challenging quest. Other additions include a Gypceros Hunt, a training area, and online features like Private Lobbies and Online Single Player mode. Data from the first beta can be transferred. The beta will run with cross-play functionality during these periods:

Thursday, February 6 at 7pm PT to Sunday, February 9 at 6:59pm PT Thursday, February 13 at 7pm PT to Sunday, February 16 at 6:59pm PT

Character data will transfer to the full game (February 28th release), but progress will not. Participants receive a special Pendant.

Monster Hunter Wilds – Iceshard Cliffs and New Monsters

The showcase also revealed a new story trailer featuring the Iceshard Cliffs, introducing new monsters: Rove (Wudwud), Hirabami (Leviathan), Nerscylla (Temnoceran), and Gore Magala. Further details on Arkveld were also shared.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Launches May 16, 2025

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will launch on May 16, 2025, featuring titles like Capcom vs. SNK (both Millennium Fight 2000 Pro and Mark of the Millennium 2001), Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, Power Stone (1 & 2), Project Justice, and Plasma Sword: Night of Bilstein.
