Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is launching a closed beta on Android and PC, starting January 15th! Netmarble's new action-adventure title lets you explore Westeros in the third person.

Sign-ups are open now for the beta, running from January 15th to the 22nd in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Unlike previous Game of Thrones mobile games focusing on strategy, Kingsroad offers a single-character experience. You'll play as the heir to House Tyre, battling enemies and building prestige across Westeros.

The trailer showcases a Witcher-esque style, featuring third-person combat and exploration. Players can choose from three classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin. While visually appealing, the game's ultimate success will depend on gameplay.

Winter is Coming (and Beta Sign-Ups End Soon!)

Registration for the closed beta ends January 12th. While visually impressive, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will likely face intense scrutiny from the dedicated fanbase. Monetization, long-term support, and overall game design will be key factors determining its success. However, if Netmarble delivers, it could become the Game of Thrones experience many fans have desired.
