If you're diving into the cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, you're in for a thrilling, physics-based retrieval experience with up to six players. Your mission? Venture into diverse maps, locate valuables, and extract them successfully. To ensure your hard work isn't lost, understanding how to save your game in *R.E.P.O.* is crucial.
One of the most frustrating experiences for any gamer is booting up their game, only to find their recent progress unsaved. This can be particularly disheartening with new games like *R.E.P.O.*, where the saving mechanics might not be immediately clear. Not all games offer autosaves, and some require specific actions or reaching certain points before you can safely exit.
In *R.E.P.O.*, the key to saving your game is straightforward: you must complete the level you're on for the game to autosave. There's no manual save feature, so if you quit during a retrieval mission or die (which sends you to the Disposal Arena), your progress is lost. You'll have to start over from the beginning of that level. Remember, once you die in *R.E.P.O.*, your save file is deleted, and exiting mid-level means you'll need to restart that level.
To save your game, you need to finish a level by delivering your valuables to the Extraction Point. Then, enter (or find your way back to) the truck and hold the message button above your head to signal the AI boss, the Taxman, that it's time to head to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can shop if needed, and then use the same button to proceed to your next level.
