Hollow Era is a captivating Roblox game inspired by the Bleach anime universe. In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore the progression path for the Shinigami (Soul Reaper) archetype, one of the two available in the game, with Hollow being the other. So, prepare your sword, harness your Reiatsu, and let's delve into the Hollow Era Shinigami progression guide.

At the start of Hollow Era, you begin as a Soul Spirit. To transition into a Shinigami, or Soul Reaper, you must accept the initial quest from an NPC named Hurt Shinigami. She's in need of assistance, and once you commit to the Shinigami path, there's no going back to play as a Hollow—unless you later become a Visored. If you're keen on playing as a Hollow, refer to our separate guide on Hollow progression.
During the selection of paths between Shinigami and Hollow, you need to act swiftly. Choosing to become a Hollow involves breaking your chain, whereas opting for Shinigami means the chain will slowly start to break on its own. Every two minutes, a section of the chain breaks, and if you let it break completely, you'll automatically become a Hollow. In such a case, explore our resurrection moves lists for your Hollow endgame.
Your first task as a Shinigami is to purify 6 Lost Souls, aligning with the Shinigami's duty to maintain the balance between life and death. Following this, you'll receive a quest from an NPC near Hurt Shinigami to deliver a letter to a Doctor friend near the hospital.
This initial phase is an excellent opportunity to familiarize yourself with your abilities. Consider purchasing a $1,000 random sword of power from a Urakara shop. If you have the funds, using the bus stop as a teleport/fast travel option for $200 is advisable, given the game's expansive map. Alternatively, you can access the menu, visit the Robux Shop, and buy infinite fast travel for 149 Robux.
Subsequent quests are marked with a red crosshair. Your journey will involve defeating one Hollow, then five Corrupted Shinigamis, and so on, until you reach level 15. Quests in Hollow Era are categorized into repeatable quests, progression quests, and those linked to specific paths like Vizard and Airwalk.
To maximize your Shinigami Reiatsu, strategic investment of your skill points is crucial. The Reiatsu Skill Tree offers various powerful Kido abilities exclusive to Shinigami characters.
The Kido and Reiatsu Nodes are straightforward: Kido Nodes enhance the damage of your Kido skills, while Reiatsu Nodes boost your maximum Reiatsu output. Here are some Kido abilities and their descriptions:
To obtain a Shikai in Hollow Era, you must reach level 15 and visit Urihiro to undertake the Shikai Training quest. This involves defeating Urahara Kisuke for 1,700 exp, after which you can harness Shikai powers.
Warning: If your character isn't fully optimized, defeating Kisuke at level 15 can be challenging. Consider grinding to level 25 or higher before attempting this quest.
Upon unlocking Shikai, your weapon gains a random mighty ability. If you're not satisfied with the new power, you can re-roll it at Urahara Shop for a fee.
The game features a Rage Bar that fills with damage taken or dealt. When full, press Y (default keybind) to activate Shikai, which deactivates when your Reiatsu is depleted or you release the key.
Your Shikai Mastery Level is determined by the Mastery Points you earn by using Shikai Skills. These points are vital as they affect your Rage Bar consumption during Shikai use. Higher Mastery Levels reduce the Rage spent.
Each Mastery Level comes with different aura effects and visual enhancements:
Once you choose the Shinigami path, you can't revert to Hollow—unless you become a Visored. At level 50, you can unlock the Vizard fighting style at the Vizard’s Warehouse. Visoreds are Shinigami who have acquired Hollow powers, as per the Bleach lore.
To become a Visored, you'll need to obtain the Hogyoku, a mystical orb that breaks the barrier between Hollow and Shinigami. This involves defeating the King of Hueco Mundo, though the Hogyoku has a mere 1% drop rate. After acquiring the Hogyoku, you must then learn the Vizard fighting style.
As a Visored, you gain access to unique perks and buffs. Mask Control reduces the chance of your Hollow taking over, while the Visored node extends the duration you can wear the mask, enhancing your damage output with Hollow powers.
Currently, Bankai is not available in Hollow Era. However, given the game's popularity, it's likely to be introduced in future updates. No specific release date has been announced, so we await further developments.
This concludes our Hollow Era Shinigami progression guide. Remember, the game is still in development, so expect some bugs and lag. To give yourself an early advantage, don't forget to claim your Hollow Era codes for additional buffs!
