Shining Revelry Expansion Coming to Pokemon TCG Pocket This Month

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket ebbs and flows, much like the tides. I'm deeply engaged when a new set is released, especially while chasing Emblems by securing around 40 wins. Once that goal is met, my routine shifts to logging in daily, opening packs, and enjoying a Wonder Pick for the fun of it. This cycle is set to restart with the arrival of the new expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

This exciting expansion will add 110 new cards to the game, encompassing a variety of Ex Pokemon, Trainer cards, and the stunning art cards we've all come to cherish. The highlight, hinted at by the expansion's name, is the introduction of Shiny Pokemon. These are unique, differently colored versions of our beloved creatures. For instance, you'll see a yellow Lucario instead of the usual blue, and a Pachirisu adorned with a striking pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can watch below, offers just a glimpse of the treasures awaiting us. A notable addition is the Shiny Charizard Ex, boasting 180 HP and a formidable attack, Steam Artillery, which inflicts 150 damage but requires a hefty five energy. Thankfully, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy cards at once, easing the setup.

Another exciting Ex card is Lucario, which previously played a more supportive role in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion. This iteration of the Aura Pokemon is ready for frontline combat with 150 HP and the powerful Aura Sphere attack. For three Fighting Energy, it deals 100 damage to the active Pokemon and an additional 30 to one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon.

The trailer also teases other cards that, while not game-changers, are visually stunning. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are on the horizon, each looking spectacular. Additionally, there's a breathtaking Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.
