Pokémon GO's newest additions keep trainers busy! Following Fidough's arrival, Shroodle is making its debut, but obtaining it isn't as simple as a wild encounter.
Shroodle's Pokémon GO Arrival
The Poison-type Shroodle enters Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Initially introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, it's a relatively fresh addition to the Pokémon GO roster. Post-event, Shroodle will remain available.
Shiny Shroodle?
At launch, a Shiny Shroodle won't be available. Its Shiny variant will probably appear in a future event, possibly a Poison-type or Team GO Rocket focused event.
Catching Shroodle in Pokémon GO
12KM Eggs collected from January 15th, 12 AM local time onwards, have a chance to hatch into Shroodle. Its hatch rate will likely be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, but it should remain part of the 12KM egg pool afterward.
Obtaining 12KM Eggs
Since Shroodle is exclusive to 12KM Eggs, a reminder on how to get them is helpful. They are rare, obtainable only by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff) or Giovanni. The Taken Over event is ideal for stocking up on 12KM Eggs due to increased Team GO Rocket activity and easier Rocket Radar acquisition. However, you can battle GO Rocket Grunts at any time to challenge the Leaders and obtain an egg (provided you have inventory space).
Grafaiai Acquisition
Evolving requires 50 Shroodle Candy. Hatching multiple Shroodle or using one as a buddy are the best ways to obtain the necessary Candy.
