S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl's roadmap for the second half of the year has been revealed, featuring updates to the core game and the Zone Kit modding tools, alongside plans for its previously announced release on PS5 and PS5 Pro.
"Our primary focus in the coming months is migrating the game to Unreal Engine 5.5.4," stated GSC Game World. "This upgrade will introduce new features and tools to further enhance the Zone. More importantly, the latest Unreal Engine 5 optimizations will deliver greater stability and overall performance."
GSC acknowledges this undertaking may "affect the schedule of other planned updates," noting: "We're embracing this risk—as true stalkers do—and will strive to meet our 2025 objectives."
While multiplayer remains unmentioned—to the disappointment of many—here is what's slated for later this year:
