Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, has announced record-breaking financial results for 2024. Stellar Blade generated an impressive $43 million in royalties, and the upcoming PC release is projected to surpass PlayStation 5 sales.

Game World Observer reported Shift Up's 2024 financial report, showcasing a 30.4% year-over-year revenue increase, reaching $151.4 million. A significant portion, $43.2 million, stemmed directly from Stellar Blade royalties.

The company anticipates continued success, predicting stronger PC sales than the console version, particularly within the Asian gaming market. While a Stellar Blade sequel remains under consideration, Shift Up will unveil its new title, Project Witches, in the first half of 2025.

Project Witches, initially revealed in 2024 following Stellar Blade's PS5 launch, preempts the anticipated demand for a sequel. However, Shift Up has confirmed that a future installment in the Stellar Blade franchise is a possibility.

Stellar Blade, a fast-paced action RPG, casts players as Eve, fighting against unknown invaders to reclaim Earth. The game achieved a 7/10 rating from IGN and sold over one million copies. While praised for its action gameplay, IGN's review noted that underdeveloped characters, a weak narrative, and frustrating RPG mechanics hindered its potential to reach the top tier of the genre.
