All Dead Rails Class Tier List

I know this Dead Rails class tier list might stir up some debate, but hear me out. You simply can't go wrong with the Vampire, even after the latest updates. The Survivalist has also seen a significant rise in popularity recently. However, it's disappointing that the Zombie class remains underpowered and can't even use Snake Oil. Teamwork plays a role too, but remember, the core of the game is to enjoy it with friends, not just to min-max.

When it comes to sheer damage output, the top tier is dominated by the Survivalist and the Vampire. While the Ironclad is a strong contender, here are the two classes that truly stand out:

**Name****Cost****Info**
Survivalist75Starting with a Tomahawk, the Survivalist becomes increasingly formidable as your health decreases. Even at full health, you deal more damage than most classes, though a nerf might be on the horizon. This class excels against tough enemies that are hard to take down.
Vampire75The Vampire excels in speed and aggression, moving faster than a horse or sprinting zombie. Its melee attacks are powerful, often taking down zombies in just three hits. However, you must avoid sunlight. The Vampire Knife, which heals you with each hit, ensures you stay in the fight as long as you keep attacking.

A Tier Dead Rails Classes

In the A tier, you'll find classes that are still excellent but slightly less effective for solo survival. While they have strong damage and starting gear, they shine more in team play. The Ironclad stands out with its potential.

**Name****Cost****Info**
Ironclad100The Ironclad comes fully armored, making you much harder to kill but slightly slower. Not ideal for solo play, but perfect for team setups where you can use shotguns effectively in close quarters.
Cowboy50Starting with a revolver, ammo, and a horse, the Cowboy excels in early-game combat and mobility. Selling the revolver can provide extra cash for a better loadout if you have the Game Pass.
Priest75Equipped with Crucifixes and Holy Water, the Priest is immune to lightning and excels in team play, providing crucial support with their throwables.
Arsonist20The Arsonist is perfect for clearing groups of enemies quickly with Molotovs and increased fire damage. Best used in confined spaces and with a horse for hit-and-run tactics.

B Tier Dead Rails Classes

The B tier consists of specialist classes that shine in specific situations. While not ideal for solo damage dealing, they are invaluable in team settings.

**Name****Cost****Info**
The Alamo50The Alamo is perfect for fortifying positions, starting with materials to turn the Train into a fortress. Ideal for holding off waves of enemies.
Doctor15The Doctor is essential for team survival, equipped with healing supplies and the ability to revive teammates at half health. Selling bandages and snake oil can provide a quick cash boost.
Miner15The Miner is perfect for resource gathering and nighttime exploration, equipped with a helmet and Pickaxe. Ideal for quickly collecting materials, especially new ore types.

C Tier Dead Rails Classes

Similar to the B tier, C tier classes offer good utility but are less effective in solo play. The Conductor is almost essential in a full team, while the Horse class is more of a novelty.

**Name****Cost****Info**
Conductor50The Conductor controls the Train's speed, starting with Coal and no melee weapon. Essential for team mobility but vulnerable early on.
HorseUnlockable through the Horsing Around gamemodeThe Horse Class turns you into a horse, with standard horse stats and limitations. A fun novelty class from the 2025 April Fools event.
High Roller50The High Roller earns 1.5x money from bags, ideal for quick cash accumulation but vulnerable to lightning strikes during storms.

D Tier Dead Rails Classes

The D tier includes the least effective classes. The None class is a good starting point for beginners, while the Zombie class remains severely underpowered.

**Name****Cost****Info**
NoneFreeThe None class is the default, offering no perks but also no drawbacks. Ideal for beginners to learn the game before choosing a specific class.
Zombie75The Zombie class heals by feeding on corpses and has stealth advantages but lacks access to healing items like Bandages and Snake Oil, making it currently ineffective.

That's all for my Dead Rails class tier list. I hope it helps you set new records and tackle mobs with ease. Don't forget to use Dead Rails codes and explore Dead Rails challenges for an even better gaming experience. Stay tuned for what the next update might bring!
