With the latest update on March 10 for *Fields of Mistria*, players can now unlock the coveted Fire Seal by successfully clearing the preceding altars. To break this seal, you'll need to gather four specific items: a Faceted Rock Gem, Rockroot, an Emerald, and a Sealing Scroll. Below, we’ll guide you on how to acquire each of these items and ultimately unlock the Fire Seal.
The Faceted Rock Gem is a rare artifact located within the mines of *Fields of Mistria*. Ensure you're running the latest version of the game, and navigate to Floors 50-59. We discovered this gem on Floor 56 after some diligent digging. To uncover it, use your pickaxe or shovel to excavate marked spots on the floor. Be prepared for some grinding, as the Faceted Rock Gem is not easily found.
Rockroot is a common forageable item you can find on Floors 50-59 in the mines. It's a dark, root-like plant that you've likely stumbled upon if you're a regular miner. Only one Rockroot is needed for the Priestess’ altar, so keep an eye out for it during your mining expeditions.
Emeralds are one of the easier items to obtain for the Fire Seal offerings. They can be found in Emerald geodes on Floors 50-59 of the mines. If you haven't stored any, you should be able to gather them quickly. Alternatively, you can find Emeralds by breaking large boulders around Mistria or purchasing them at Balor’s Wagon for 200 tesserae. If you've unlocked the Stone Refinery with the March 2025 update, crafting them is also an option.
The Sealing Scroll is the final piece required to unlock the Fire Seal. This item is linked to a quest that begins after you meet Juniper upon discovering the seal. You'll need to recruit Balor, who will send away for the scroll in exchange for:
If you haven't amassed these materials yet, you can find them within the mines. Once you have all the required items, deposit them in the bin by Balor’s Wagon to receive the Sealing Scroll.
With the Sealing Scroll, Faceted Rock Gem, Emerald, and Rockroot in your inventory, return to Floor 60 of the mines to offer these items. This action will unlock the Fire Seal, revealing a new biome and more exciting content during Early Access.
