Urshifu Debuts in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week with Gigantamax Machamp

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the excitement peaks with the Final Strike: GO Battle Week, commencing on May 21st, 2025, and continuing through to May 27th. This final week is your chance to bring your journey with Kubfu to a spectacular finish by evolving it into the legendary Urshifu, available in two distinct styles: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedication, the time has come to transform your Kubfu into Urshifu. Depending on your battling strategy, you can unlock either the Single Strike or Rapid Strike form. To achieve Single Strike, make Kubfu your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style during Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon.

Additionally, there's a Special Research that continues the ongoing Seasonal storyline, available until June 3rd, 2025. This research offers Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, which is designated as the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, experience the debut of Gigantamax Machamp in six-star Max Battles. During this event, enjoy several bonuses including needing only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles, an increased Max Particle storage cap to 1,600, and all Power Spots hosting Gigantamax Battles. You’ll also earn 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain two extra Special Trades.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the timer, though the power boost remains constant.
