IGN Fan Fest 2025 delivered an exclusive premiere date for The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2: May 4, 2025. The announcement included an exclusive clip and interviews with key cast and crew.

Lauren Cohan (Maggie) offered insights into Maggie's mental state heading into the new season: "Sadly, not everything is rosy," she revealed. The season will explore relatable family dynamics amidst the apocalyptic setting, highlighting the challenges of family life alongside the constant struggle for survival.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) discussed Negan's precarious position, finding himself under the control of The Dama and The Croat. He'll be scheming his way out, but faces significant challenges. Morgan also reflected on his iconic barbed-wire bat, Lucille: "I love that thing!" he admitted, adding that it brings back fond memories (though not for Cohan!).
