Zenless Zone Zero Leaks Hint at New Skins for Astra Yao and Ellen Joe, Plus More in Version 1.5

Recent leaks suggest exciting additions to Zenless Zone Zero, including new skins for popular characters Astra Yao and Ellen Joe. The upcoming 1.5 update, launching January 22nd, promises a wealth of new content, including two new playable characters and much more.

Astra Yao, a highly anticipated character whose in-game appearance was first revealed at The Game Awards 2024, makes her playable debut in Version 1.5 alongside her bodyguard, Evelyn. Both will be S-Rank units, and the update's main story arc is expected to center around Astra Yao's introduction. But leaks hint at more than just their arrival.

Data mined from the 1.5 beta, as shared by leaker Donutleaker and corroborated by Palito, reveals potential new skins for both Astra Yao and Ellen Joe. Donutleaker's screenshots show Astra Yao in a striking all-white dress with puff sleeves, a significant departure from her usual attire. The early introduction of a skin for a newly released character is unusual, fueling speculation. The leaks also suggest a possible Agent Story for Ellen Joe, addressing fan requests for more content focused on this day-one character.

While these skins are currently rumored, their availability in Version 1.5 itself is uncertain. It's more likely they'll be teased for later updates. However, the 1.5 update is still packed with highly anticipated content, including a confirmed skin for Nicole Demara. Given Nicole's A-Rank status, this skin may be obtainable for free through a limited-time event.

Version 1.4 introduced substantial gameplay improvements, including character leveling and overworld exploration enhancements. With Version 1.4 concluding soon, the developers have announced a special livestream for the Version 1.5 launch, promising details on Astra Yao and Evelyn's abilities, upcoming events, and other additions to the game.
