Yakuza / Like a Dragon Fans Choosing Upcoming Official Merch, From Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones, and More Bizarre Items

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is letting fans vote on the next official Yakuza/Like a Dragon merchandise items! A whopping 100 bizarre and wonderful options are available, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. The poll is Japanese-only, but voting is possible via the official website.

While some choices are more conventional (like a 20th-anniversary hoodie or pencil case), many are delightfully eccentric, drawing inspiration from the series' famously outlandish history.

Among the more unusual contenders are Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, the giant traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options include Majima's sake cup, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.

The studio is already preparing for at least one 20th-anniversary release in 2025, with Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean launching February 21st. While a second major release within the same year might seem ambitious, RGG Studio is renowned for its prolific output. Consider their impressive track record over the past five years: Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, plus two Super Monkey Ball games and an enhanced Virtua Fighter 5 remaster – a total of nine games.
