The Temple of Trials is accessible only through Xenlon's wish-granting ability. Defeating Xenlon within Cloudsgate Citadel grants a wish; however, subsequent victories require fewer turns each time.
Access Cloudsgate Citadel. Within, navigate to the main chamber and follow the red carpet south from the King's throne. Descend the stairs to the next chamber, where an old man offers a drink (its effect is unclear). Proceed through the southwest door to Citadel Tower. This tower presents a challenging climb; aim for at least level 50 before attempting to battle Xenlon. Xenlon awaits at the tower's peak, marked by a long stairway. Prepare your party before engaging.
Defeat Xenlon within 35 turns to earn your first wish. Amongst Xenlon's offered wishes, a hidden option exists at the bottom of the list (select the blank space). Choosing this unlocks the Temple of Trials. Xenlon will then provide directions: mount Ramia the Everbird on Aliahan island and fly north. A bright light will appear; interacting with it transports you to the Temple of Trials.
The Temple of Trials comprises five trials, each with unique rules and rewards. Completing these unlocks the final trial: a battle against the Grand Dragon.
