Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, and is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

Eligible players can enjoy four consecutive days of free gameplay, with the 96-hour timer beginning the moment they log in via the game launcher. Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered FFXIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start (January 9th, 2025). Accounts suspended or cancelled due to Terms of Service violations are not eligible. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.

This free period coincides with the ongoing Heavensturn event (ending January 16th), offering a free minion reward to participants, and the upcoming Patch 7.16 release on January 21st, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series. With Patch 7.2 and 7.3 slated for release later in 2025, this Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to catch up on the Dawntrail expansion's side quests and storylines before the next major content drops. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida recently teased future story developments in his New Year's message, adding further intrigue for returning adventurers.
