Batman, Spider-Man Among 2025 Eisner Nominees

The nominees for the prestigious 2025 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards have been announced, showcasing the year's most exceptional comics and graphic novels. Often described as the Oscars of comics, these awards celebrate the medium's finest achievements.

Fantagraphics leads with 24 nominations (plus 1 shared), followed closely by DC Comics with 10 nominations (plus 9 shared). Notable among nominated creators is Wonder Woman writer Tom King with four nominations, while several others received three nods each.

Comics enthusiasts will be pleased to see former IGN Comics editor Joey Esposito among the nominees. His collaboration with Sean Von Gorman on The Pedestrian earned a Best New Series nomination, competing against heavyweights like Absolute Batman and The Power Fantasy.
