Minecraft's Java Snapshot 25w06a introduces exciting new chicken variants, sparking anticipation among players. This guide details how to locate and breed all three types.
Warm Chickens: These yellow and orange-feathered birds blend into warmer biomes. Search these locations: Badlands, Bamboo Jungle, Eroded Badlands, Jungle, Savanna, Savanna Plateau, Sparse Jungle, Windswept Savanna, and Wooded Badlands.
Cold Chickens: Sporting blue feathers, Cold Chickens reside exclusively in colder biomes: Old Growth Pine Taiga, Old Growth Spruce Taiga, Snowy Taiga, Taiga, Windswept Forest, Windswept Gravelly Hills, and Windswept Hills.
Temperate Chickens: The classic white chickens, now called Temperate Chickens, inhabit all biomes not listed above.
To collect these feathered friends, utilize seeds. Chickens will follow you when you carry seeds, allowing you to guide them into a designated enclosure. Repeat this process until you have your desired number. Remember that transporting chickens, especially over long distances in Survival mode, presents challenges. Establishing checkpoints for your flock is recommended.
Breeding is straightforward. Feed two chickens of the same type seeds to produce an egg that hatches the same variant. For a surprise, feed seeds to two different chicken types – the resulting egg will hatch a random variant.
