These cards are part of the "Through the Ages" bonus sheet included in the main set. They are reprints of existing cards, reimagined with stunning concept art and characters from various Final Fantasy games. While they don't introduce new mechanics or unique cards like those in the recently revealed Commander decks, their artwork spans the entire history of the Final Fantasy series, making them a must-have for collectors and fans alike.

0$7.99 at TCGPlayerUnlike the cards in the main set, the Through the Ages cards are not legal in Magic's Standard format, though they retain their legality if the original card was already legal. These cards serve as alternate art versions and can be found in both the premium Collector Boosters and one in every three regular Play Boosters, which are used for Limited events like Draft and Sealed.
If you're planning to dive deep into this set, whether at your local game store or digitally on platforms like Magic: The Gathering Arena, you'll likely encounter these cards frequently. Five of the six cards are Rares, making them less common, but Thrum of the Vestige, an Uncommon, is a reskin of the iconic Lightning Bolt, and it's poised to make a significant impact on the set.
The Warrior of Light reprint of Jodah, the Unifier, is sure to be a fan favorite. Jodah is a powerful and popular Commander, and the artwork here is Amano's from the original Final Fantasy Japanese boxart. Similarly, Amano's iconic art for Final Fantasy 4's Cecil Harvey has been repurposed for Tymna the Weaver, one of Magic's strongest partner commanders, which has only been reprinted once before. These cards will be available in physical form as part of the larger Final Fantasy set on June 13, with digital versions launching on MTG Arena and MTGO on June 10. Even if you're a Final Fantasy enthusiast not yet into Magic, there's still plenty to be excited about, as FF7 Remake series director Tetsuya Nomura hinted at a unique design for Sephiroth on one of the cards, adding an intriguing layer of mystery.
