New Content Arrives with Assassin's Creed Mirage's Valley of Memory DLC

Over 6 Hours of Gameplay

Assassin's Creed Mirage's upcoming free DLC, Valley of Memory, introduces more than six hours of gameplay and fresh story content to the two-year-old title. Ubisoft hosted an online reveal livestream on October 7, 2025, where developers shared further details about the expansion.

Valley of Memory was initially teased in August 2025, with mentions of a new region inspired by the historical and archaeological site of AlUla in modern-day Saudi Arabia.

This 9th-century area serves as the central location for AC Mirage's protagonist, Basim, as he embarks on a new journey to find his long-lost father. Alongside the new map, players can expect fresh assassination targets, side quests, and contracts.

Developers highlighted that this update also adds new content to Baghdad, the game's main city. Ubisoft emphasized this is an ideal time for veterans to replay or newcomers to experience AC Mirage.

They stated, "We're enabling players to revisit Basim's main story missions with new rewards, alongside enhanced parkour mechanics featuring moves like a free jump, upgraded tools, and visual filters honoring previous AC titles like Origins and Odyssey."

Reimagining AlUla

While the series is acclaimed for its historical recreations, developers acknowledged the challenge of reimagining AlUla. Valley of Memory Artistic Director Florian Salomez described their approach to reconstructing the area despite its lost history.

Salomez explained, "We faced a flourishing civilization alongside ancient wilderness. Similar to golden age Baghdad, most records of this rich setting were lost over time. As with all Assassin's Creed projects, we strive to make the setting and period vivid. The recreation process blends artistic vision with historical research."

Ubisoft collaborated with internal and external experts to ensure faithful restoration of AlUla's historical landmarks. The diverse terrain and unique locations make AlUla a rich playground for parkour and missions.

This free DLC, celebrating Assassin's Creed Mirage's second anniversary, continues the series' mission of highlighting world history. Two years after release, fan support remains strong as developers continually refine gameplay and content.
