Sony has unveiled an exciting lineup of PlayStation Plus Essential titles for April 2025, featuring RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). These titles were announced in a recent PlayStation.Blog post and will be available to subscribers starting April 1, with access continuing until the next set of games is introduced on May 5.
For those eager to dive into next month's offerings, a poll asks which game you'll play first:
The April lineup caters to a variety of gaming tastes. RoboCop: Rogue City, developed by Teyon and Nacon, brings players back to the gritty world of Detroit as Alex Murphy, fighting crime in this first-person shooter. The game, which received a notable update in January of the previous year adding a New Game Plus mode, was lauded with a 7/10 in our review for its authentic '80s vibe and engaging gameplay.
For fans of horror and multiplayer action, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre from Sumo Digital and Gun Media offers a chilling experience. In this asymmetrical multiplayer game, players either try to survive or take on the role of the Slaughter Family. While it offers a few hours of entertaining gameplay, our review scored it a 6/10, citing technical challenges.
Finally, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory from Bandai Namco provides a more relaxed gaming experience. This turn-based RPG expands the digital world with over 320 Digimon to collect, offering a new perspective on the original Cyber Sleuth story.
As these titles prepare to hit the PlayStation consoles, remember to grab the March 2025 titles – Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection – before they're no longer available on March 31. Whether you're a current subscriber or considering joining, this is a great opportunity to enrich your gaming library.
