If you're hunting for a fantastic deal on a premium OLED TV, this is an opportunity worth your attention. Woot! (an Amazon company) currently has the 65-inch Samsung S90D 4K OLED Smart TV available for just $1,074.99. Amazon Prime members enjoy free shipping, while others pay a modest $6 delivery fee. This is a brand-new television backed by a full one-year Samsung warranty. As noted by RTINGS, the Samsung S90D outperforms the popular LG C4 OLED with higher peak brightness, a wider color gamut, superior color volume, better off-angle viewing, and more refined HDR gradient handling. It's also an outstanding choice for gaming with a PS5 or Xbox Series X.

The Samsung S90D is the 2024 predecessor model. While a new "S90F" version has been released for 2025, it costs more than twice the price. The S90D features Samsung's proprietary Quantum Dot (QD)-OLED panel technology. QD-OLED delivers greater brightness than traditional OLEDs while retaining the exceptional color accuracy, wide color range, and expansive viewing angles that define OLED displays. Compared to standard LED-LCD TVs, OLED technology provides superior picture quality with near-infinite blacks, an almost limitless contrast ratio, and incredibly fast pixel response times.

Beyond its OLED advantages, the Samsung S90D is packed with features gamers will appreciate. It boasts a native 120Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 144Hz, plus four HDMI 2.1 ports capable of delivering 4K at 120Hz from a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. The TV also supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). These features make it an excellent partner for the recently released PlayStation 5 Pro, which can push more games in native 4K at 120fps quality mode, unlike the standard PS5 that often relies on upscaled 4K in performance mode.

Is the Samsung S90D a Good TV for the Nintendo Switch 2?

Although a current-generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2 has less demanding TV requirements than the PS5 or Xbox Series X. When docked and connected to a TV, the Switch 2 maxes out at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. It can achieve 120fps at 1080p resolution, but the required data bandwidth is similar for both modes. Interestingly, it does not support VRR when docked—that feature is exclusive to handheld mode. Nonetheless, the Switch 2 will still look magnificent on the Samsung S90D's stunning OLED panel.
