My Child New Beginnings Android Release

My Child New Beginnings is now available on Android. Sarepta Studio has released the game for mobile devices. Similar to its acclaimed predecessor, My Child Lebensborn—winner of the 2019 BAFTA Games Beyond Entertainment award—it's a dynamic, story-driven nurture simulation.

The original game was set in post-World War II Norway, where players raised a child born into a society filled with daily hostility and shame. My Child New Beginnings unfolds decades later, in 1990s Norway.

The child in your care bears different scars

You step into the role of an adoptive parent to Klaus or Karin, young children grappling with the lingering effects of a painful history. Your role is to offer security, affection, guidance, and steadfast companionship.

The experience centers on helping a child heal, confronting moments of trauma, panic, anxiety, and the challenging journey of restoring trust and stability. Every decision you make directly influences the child's daily emotional well-being.

More than a linear story, My Child New Beginnings is a life simulation. Everyday routines carry as much weight as pivotal dramatic events. You'll manage a job, buy groceries, handle household chores, and find moments for meaningful connection amidst it all.

As the story progresses, the town slowly opens up. This provides new opportunities for the child to build friendships and rediscover a sense of belonging. Major story arcs unfold over multiple play sessions, while shorter chapters span from four in-game days to a full week.

Creating a truly safe home is both a practical and emotional undertaking. You must manage time and resources, address physical and emotional needs, and foster learning and growth. Careful judgment is also required when facing ethically complex parenting situations.
