Clash of Clans Revives Revenge Button

After more than ten years, it's natural for Clash of Clans to have a few outdated features. One such feature, the Revenge Button, has just received a major refresh. To make up for its long absence, Supercell is offering players a chance to take revenge—on the developers themselves.

If you've ever had your village raided and tried to retaliate, only to find the feature broken, now is your moment. Not only is the Revenge Button returning, but a new livestream on October 5th will let players give the team a hard time for letting it slip in the first place.

Broadcast on the official Clash of Clans YouTube channel, the stream will allow fans worldwide to vote on quirky punishments for the dev team. Options include releasing Giant Gas to fill the room with foul green smoke or triggering an Elixir Drip to cover everything in purple goo.

Revenge served fresh

As you might expect, each punishment—and there are more—draws inspiration from Clash of Clans. While the idea is playful and a bit silly, it's a welcome gesture that puts the community front and center.

Supercell could have quietly reintroduced the Revenge button and left it at that. Instead, the team acknowledged its long outage, owned up to it, and turned its return into a community event. This approach helps soften the wait for a fix that was overdue.
