Whether they represent a fleeting trend or a genuine evolution in mobile gaming, the arrival of AAA titles on newest iPhones is exciting news. Resident Evil already made waves, and now masters from another genre are stepping up. Remedy Entertainment, known for Max Payne, is bringing Control to the platform.
As the playful title suggests, Control will launch on iPad, iPhone, and Mac in 2026. Imagine blending Max Payne, Alan Wake, and elements of SCP Foundation and X-Files—that's the unique experience Control delivers.
You assume the role of Jesse Faden, a woman searching for her missing brother who unexpectedly becomes the new Director of the secretive Federal Bureau of Control. Armed with telekinetic abilities and a shape-shifting service weapon, you'll confront a mysterious and malevolent force called the Hiss.

Control stands as an essential playthrough in my view—though I'll admit I'm somewhat of a Remedy enthusiast. It masterfully blends an intriguing supernatural thriller narrative with satisfying, high-impact combat, balancing cosmic horror and action seamlessly.
Graphically, this port could push mobile boundaries even further. Control pioneered real-time ray tracing implementation, and while its inclusion in the mobile version remains unconfirmed, the game's visual richness is undeniable.
Mark your calendars for 2026—if you own a recent iPhone, you might soon find yourself exploring the mysterious Oldest House.
