Disney's $60M Frozen 3 & 4 Deals Seal Major Pay for Bell, Gad, Menzel

The leading voices of Disney's Frozen franchise are set to receive a staggering $60 million payday to return for both Frozen 3 and Frozen 4.

Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel, the talents behind Princess Anna, Olaf, and Elsa, will each earn one of the most sizable fees in animated film history.

According to a report from The Wrap, this compensation includes an initial lump sum plus additional bonuses linked to each sequel's box office success. (Disney has declined to comment.) The $60 million figure for each star is notably higher than the $15 million each received for Frozen 2.

Disney holds significant expectations for Frozen 3, building on the phenomenal success of the first two films. The original Frozen grossed $1.28 billion in 2013, a record surpassed by Frozen 2's $1.45 billion global haul in 2019.

While Disney has not revealed specific plot details for Frozen 3, it has indicated the story is expansive enough to span two movies, with Frozen 4 intended to conclude the saga. Many fans hope the third film will introduce a love interest for Elsa, and there is anticipation that it will feature the marriage of Anna and Kristoff.

"Coming out of Frozen 2, we still have some questions," writer and director Jennifer Lee hinted at last year's D23 Expo after unveiling the first concept art. "A lot of questions actually. Now, you see why we need two films to tell this story."

The revealed image shows Elsa and Anna riding through a forest, with Olaf sitting atop Anna's horse. They appear to be journeying toward a mysterious floating city in the sky. A silhouetted, ominous figure with horns and a spear is also visible.

Frozen 3 is currently slated for release on November 24, 2027.
