Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a challenge to reach. This guide details multiple methods to overcome this obstacle and access the island's quests and storyline advancements.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of a bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken sections. Crossing requires:
- Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting party members individually across the gaps.
- Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but may be limited by party composition.
- Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids allow one character to cross using translocation, then the rest teleport to their location.
- Fast Travel: Once a character with translocation reaches the island and discovers the waypoint, the rest can fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry (Requires Fane)
An undead ferryman northwest of Cloisterwood offers a ferry across the Deathfog. However, this is a trap; only undead (like Fane) survive.
- Fane's Journey: Fane can safely cross, discover the waypoint, allowing the rest of the party to fast travel.
Method 3: The Ferry Without Fane (Requires Teleporter Pyramids)
If Fane isn't in your party, two Teleporter Pyramids are necessary:
- Equip a pyramid on a companion.
- Send that companion via the ferry (they'll die on arrival).
- Use the second pyramid to teleport to the deceased companion.
- Resurrect the companion.
Note: The bridge method is generally faster without Fane.
Caution Regarding the Ferryman
Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless prepared. He retaliates with a deadly Deathfog spell. A quick save is advisable before engaging. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
