Techland made waves at Summer Game Fest 2025 by announcing Dying Light: The Beast will launch on August 22, 2025, for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The surprise announcement means players will return as Kyle Crane mere months from now - marking his comeback after missing the 2022 sequel. The release date reveal arrived alongside fresh gameplay footage showcasing countless brutal ways to combat hordes of infected.
Techland describes Dying Light: The Beast as blending "open-world exploration with survival horror action." Players must survive the treacherous Castor Woods valley using all available skills and equipment.
"You play as Kyle Crane," Techland explains. "After enduring years of the Baron's torturous experiments, you've broken free. Now part-zombie, you battle to control your monstrous transformations while seeking vengeance against your tormentor."
This standalone story expands Techland's post-apocalyptic universe. Pre-orders are now live, offering bonus content including the Hero of Harran bundle featuring the Ultimate Survivor Outfit, Harran Combat Knife, Follower Crossbow, and additional items.
