During the new Escape from Tarkov wipe developers will show New Year special

Escape from Tarkov's wipe, initially planned for before the New Year to coincide with a simplified Kappa container quest, now has a confirmed release time. The wipe and update to version 0.16.0.0 (Tarkov Arena to 0.2.5.0) will occur on December 26th at 7:00 AM GMT / 2:00 AM EST.

Expect approximately 8 hours of downtime, though past updates have sometimes taken longer. To compensate, Battlestate Games will host a New Year's Special Twitch stream at 4:00 PM GMT / 11:00 AM EST, featuring currently unannounced content.
