In a stark contrast, Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge introduces the Emperor’s Children, a faction that once served the Imperium but turned traitor during the Horus Heresy, now devotees of Slaanesh. They revel in excess, pain, and pushing boundaries to the extreme.

This new faction comes with three warlords: Lord Kaphrael, who excels at eliminating enemy champions and leads the Callous Blades; Xarahan, embodying arrogance; and Lucius the Eternal, with centuries of dueling expertise. The gameplay mechanics are uniquely twisted, with cards marked by Ecstasy activating effects when health reaches certain thresholds, Cruelty rewarding damage without killing, Stimulation triggering upon stratagem targeting, and Combat Elixirs generating additional stratagems.
