A prominent Fortnite leaker has hinted that Mechagodzilla could make its debut alongside Godzilla when the iconic monster enters the game on January 17. Fortnite is currently in the midst of Chapter 6 Season 1, which has introduced numerous changes to the game. Epic Games has revamped the locker system and modified the UI for quests, including those related to Godzilla.
Since the launch of Chapter 6 Season 1, Fortnite has embraced a multitude of collaborations, ranging from Cyberpunk 2077 and Star Wars to DC Comics and even Mariah Carey during the 14-day Winterfest event. The current battle pass showcases two major collaborations: Baymax from Big Hero 6 and Godzilla.
In a recent tweet, the well-known Fortnite leaker Hypex claimed that Mechagodzilla might soon be available in the game's Item Shop. The design of Mechagodzilla will follow the MonsterVerse version. It's speculated that the mechanical monster could be priced at 1,800 V-Bucks on its own, though it may also be offered in a more comprehensive bundle. Mechagodzilla is expected to serve as a cosmetic item for players to purchase. In contrast, Godzilla will not only be a cosmetic but also a full boss on the map, complete with a medallion that players can claim during matches.
Leakers have also reported that King Kong will make an appearance in Fortnite alongside Godzilla and Mechagodzilla. However, it remains uncertain whether King Kong will feature on the map during Chapter 6 Season 1. While fans dream of epic battles between these titans across the map, Epic Games has not yet confirmed such scenarios. It's predicted that King Kong will be available in the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks, possibly bundled with accessories or even Mechagodzilla.
The Fortnite community is thrilled about the inclusion of these iconic monsters, but many are also eagerly anticipating a rumored crossover with Demon Slayer. This would bring characters from the popular anime into the game, following successful collaborations with other anime franchises like Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and My Hero Academia. With an abundance of new content continuously added to Fortnite, players are excited to see what Epic Games has in store for the future.
