Free Fire unveils new map for eighth anniversary after three years

Free Fire is celebrating its eighth anniversary with the launch of Solara, the first new map in three years, debuting on May 21st. This vibrant, light-futuristic battleground blends high-speed action with dynamic combat, promising a month of festivities, rewards, and a sleek sci-fi atmosphere.

Spanning 1,400 x 1,400 meters, Solara presents a striking mix of nature and futuristic architecture. From the jacaranda-filled streets of Bloomtown to the creative zones of Studio and The Hub, each area offers unique tactical advantages. The map is anchored by a majestic twin-peaked mountain, enhancing its immersive feel with light sci-fi elements integrated into the design.

Solara is designed for speed enthusiasts, featuring a new full-map Slide system that allows for swift zone transitions. Strategic gameplay is further enhanced by on-rail Gloo Wall shields and color-changing alerts that help detect nearby foes, facilitating smoother ambushes and safer escapes.

The map also introduces a dynamic weather system that transitions from day to dusk, influencing visibility and adding an atmospheric layer to each battle. Iconic landmarks such as Funfair, TV Tower, and Riders Club evolve as the day fades, enriching the gameplay experience. Solara encourages exploration with interactive zones and hidden Easter eggs scattered throughout. Discover secret spots like the underground chamber in Delta Isle or pay homage to Kelly at the TV Tower. Starting May 21st, you can collect limited-time 8th Anniversary Tokens at the Kelly Show scene, which can be redeemed for exclusive rewards.

To complement the map's debut, the Solarush! event will offer a dedicated interface with daily and themed tasks. These challenges will prompt you to explore Solara and earn celebratory gear, including a new emote, skyboard, parachute, and animation effects to mark the anniversary.
