Despite swirling rumors and ongoing speculation, Bob Gale, the screenwriter behind the beloved *Back to the Future* trilogy, remains steadfast in his assertion that there will "never" be any new additions to the franchise. The buzz intensified after the creators of *Cobra Kai*, a successful revival of the *Karate Kid* saga, hinted at the possibility of a *Back to the Future* TV series. However, Gale is quick to dismiss such ideas, expressing frustration at the persistent inquiries.

In a candid interview with People, Gale retorted, "I don't know why they keep talking about that! I mean, do they think that if they say it enough times, we're going to actually do it?" He firmly shut down any hopes for a *Back to the Future 4*, a prequel, or a spinoff, emphasizing, "Never. It's just fine the way it is. It's not perfect, but as Bob Zemeckis used to say, 'It's perfect enough.'"

While Gale's stance is resolute, he acknowledges the power of Hollywood to potentially override their decision. Yet, he notes that executive producer Steven Spielberg's approval would be necessary, and according to Gale, Spielberg shares their sentiment against reviving the franchise. Gale humorously remarked, "If the juggernaut of corporate America or corporate international mishigas says, 'If you don't agree to this, we're going to kill your children,' alright, well, no, we don't want our children killed.'"

He further praised Spielberg's respect for their decision, saying, "But Steven Spielberg, of course, he's got to sign off on it too. And Steven, just like Steven won't allow another E.T., he totally respects the fact that we don't want any more Back to the Future. He gets it and always stood behind that. And thank you, Steven."

Gale's sentiments echo his previous responses, notably his blunt message to fans in February, "People always say, 'When are you going to do Back to the Future 4?' And we say, 'F**k you.'"
