Genshin Impact is set to launch its highly anticipated Version 5.5 update, titled "Day of the Flame's Return," on March 26th, intensifying the experience in Natlan. This update promises a wealth of new content, both in terms of storyline and gameplay enhancements.
One of the most exciting additions is the long-awaited controller support for Android devices, which will be introduced with this version. To find out which controllers will be supported, you can check out the detailed information here.
In this update, you'll venture deep into the southwestern part of Natlan, exploring a new tribe, a massive volcano, and introducing fresh characters. The Great Volcano of Tollan houses ancient secrets and a long-dormant sacred city, surrounded by rumbling magma. Your quest will involve uncovering the mysteries behind the "Flamelord's Blessing" and the enigma of the Little One, all while engaging with the Collective of Plenty, a tribe dedicated to fitness and strength challenges.
Two new playable characters will enrich the roster in Version 5.5: Varesa and Iansan. Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst user, offers unique support by restoring Phlogiston after consuming food. Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm wielder and one of Natlan's six heroes, blends offense and support capabilities, providing continuous healing when a teammate triggers a Nightsoul Burst, thanks to her Warming Up effect.
The first phase of Version 5.5’s Event Wishes will feature Varesa and Iansan, along with Xianyun’s rerun, followed by reruns for Xilonen and Venti. Dive into the excitement by watching the official trailer below.
You'll encounter Mavuika, Ifa, and other allies from Natlan to aid a sick Saurian. Engage in the "Saurian Treasure Seeker" mini-game, guiding baby Saurians through obstacles to collect treasures, with the chance to invite Ororon for free by participating in the event.
On the challenge front, confront the new boss, the Lava Dragon Statue, lurking within the volcanic fissures. You can download the game from the Google Play Store and immerse yourself in this expansive update once it's released.
