Rockstar Games has declared that the GTA 6 Trailer 2 marks the largest video launch in history, amassing a staggering 475 million views across all platforms within its first 24 hours. This surpasses all previous records for movie trailer launches, outdoing Deadpool & Wolverine's 365 million views and The Fantastic Four: First Steps' 200 million views in their initial day. Even last year's Superman trailer, which garnered over 250 million views and was celebrated as the most-viewed trailer in DC and Warner Bros.' history, pales in comparison to the monumental success of GTA 6 Trailer 2.

Interestingly, GTA 6 Trailer 1, which initially launched exclusively on YouTube, achieved 93 million views on its debut day, setting a record for the biggest non-music video launch on the platform. As of May 8, GTA 6 Trailer 2 has already accumulated 85,276,196 views on Rockstar's official YouTube channel.

The impact of GTA 6 Trailer 2 extends beyond viewership, as evidenced by the significant surge in Spotify streams for The Pointer Sisters' "Hot Together," a song featured in the trailer. Streams for the 1986 hit skyrocketed by an astonishing 182,000% within just two hours of the trailer's release. Sulinna Ong, Spotify's Global Head of Editorial, remarked, "Grand Theft Auto cuts through popular culture like almost nothing else. Music has been synonymous with the series since the very beginning, so it’s great to see fans both new and established connecting with an iconic track in this way."

The release of GTA 6 Trailer 2 followed the announcement of the game's delay from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026.
